What do I do when someone I love dies?

We are very sorry to hear of your loss.

The Clergy Team are here to support you in your grief. One of us will be happy to visit you and we will meet with other members of your family if you wish. We can help you to consider the type of funeral you would like and to plan the funeral and/or thanksgiving service in church or at a crematorium. Contact a member of the Ministry Team via the Benefice email address or telephone 01491 875651. We will work with you and a funeral director to guide you through the initial practical decisions you need to make for the funeral.

Once a year we run a bereavement course, typically in the winter months. Please watch the weekly newsletter for details. We also hold an annual service remembering the departed at All Saints time (around the end of October / beginning of November).

We are also very happy to help anyone prepare for their own death. It is actually a life-giving conversation for us all to have.
