What we Believe
The Good News revealed in Jesus is that we are loved and loveable by God, even though we have a long way to go in letting this truth live out in our lives. As we turn to Him and ask for his Holy Spirit, God can shape us, together as disciples and agents of bringing about his kingdom. As part of the Church of England we are but one doorway into this world-wide family of many denominations, shapes, sizes and colours.

We are also a part of the Diocese of Oxford and we try to follow the call from our Bishop the Rt Revd Dr Steven Croft to be a more Christ-like church. Part of this is being more contemplative, compassionate and courageous for the sake of God’s world:
Contemplative
-
More people spending more time with God
-
Signs of a greater sense of humility
-
Listening more and saying less, to ourselves, our world and one another
Compassionate
-
More time spent with more people
-
Signs of a greater sense of forgiveness, grace and nurture
-
Gracious welcome and hospitality; taking action for peace and justice
Courageous
-
Taking steps of faith, commitment and endurance
-
Making a difference in our local communities
-
Signs of reconciliation; resolving conflict and working together for peace
