Pick a Flick - Winter 2025 

Pick-a-Flick is for retired people of Goring, Streatley and South Stoke. A film show and light lunch are provided every 3rd Thursday of the month (except August) from 10:30am to 2pm in The Canterbury Room at St Thomas' Church, Goring.

The cost is £5.00 per event including a light lunch. Please contact Jenny Boyd or Sarah Fraser to book in and to ask for transport if you require it. We look forward to hearing from you.

Jane Eyre (2011) – 1 hr 55 mins

Jane Eyre flees Thornfield Hall where she works as a governess for Adele Varens, a child under the custody of Edward Rochester.  The imposing residence – and Rochester’s imposing nature – have tested her resilience.   With nowhere else to go she is helped by clergyman St John Rivers.  As she recuperates she looks back on the tumultuous events that led to her escape.
