This very special weekend we give thanks for the Queen, and pray for her.
It is also the feast of Pentecost. We give thanks for the gift of the Holy Spirit and desire to be filled and changed by God.
The Collect
The prayer for the week
Holy Spirit, sent by the Father,
ignite in us your holy fire;
strengthen your children with the gift of faith,
revive your Church with the breath of love,
and renew the face of the earth,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

11:00am Outdoors Jubilee Praise service at St Andrew’s
11:30am Jubilee Praise service in the Rectory Garden

We rejoice and give thanks for our Queen, her faith and life of service and example to us all.
Thursday 2nd June 9.30pm: gathering in Rectory Gardens to pray for and bless the Village Festival and Light the Beacon and a choir will sing a Song for the Commonwealth at 9.45pm.
Sunday 5th at 11.00am: Jubilee Praise outside St Andrew's
Sunday 5th at 11.30am: Jubilee Praise in the Rectory Gardens, Goring, a short service led by the 3 Christian denominations with a band.
Come, sing and be together, pray for the Queen and our communities and God’s world.

Thank you to everyone who has helped to distribute envelopes round our villages and who gave so generously.
Together the total raised by Goring, Streatley and South Stoke was £1,885.
Festival Calm
You are probably aware that the Gap festival will be taking place soon from Thursday 2nd June to Sunday 12th June. This includes a daily wellbeing session all at 8am which will replace our normal morning prayer on these days:
Friday 3 June - Reflective meditation at the Free Church
Saturday 4 June - An opportunity to sanctify the day by singing Lauds (the Church's office of Morning Prayer) to Gregorian chant. At Our Lady & St John
Monday 6 June - Praying with your whole body at St Thomas’
Tuesday 7 June - Rosary Meditation at Our Lady & St John
Wednesday 8 June - Reflective meditation at the Free Church
Thursday 9 June - Spacemakers - children of Goring Primary leading contemplation at St Thomas’
Friday 10 June - Singing for the Soul at St Thomas’
