Giving at St Thomas'
The basic annual running costs for St Thomas’ church are typically around £100,000 but we are also frequently faced with large exceptional items such as tower repairs or lighting system refurbishment.
You can make a one-off gift or a regular donation and if you are taxpayer you may be able to Gift Aid your donations at no additional cost to you.
Cheques should be made payable to ‘Goring Parochial Church Council’ or ‘Goring PCC’ and can be delivered or sent to the parish office at:
The Vicarage, Manor Road, Goring RG8 9DR
Parish Giving Scheme
For regular donations, many of our supporters use the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS). This is a national organisation which manages donations and the collection of Gift Aid where applicable on behalf of participating parishes. It is simple to register and set up an instruction online using the PGS website. This link takes you to the PGS homepage and this link takes you directly to the page where you can set up a regular donation to St Thomas’ church in Goring.
Bank Instructions
Alternatively, you can use this form as an instruction to your bank. Please complete the form and send it to your bank.
To Gift Aid your donations not made via the PGS please fill in this form and either post it to the parish office at the address above or scan it and email it to vicarofgsandss@yahoo.com.
...and let us know!
In any of the above cases, it would be helpful if you could drop a note to our treasurer via the parish office at the contact details above letting him know of your donation and any other relevant information. This helps in managing finances and of course, we like to be able to thank our donors as well!
